This is a wonderful Lower Cambrian trilobite. It is an Olenellus thompsoni from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. This trilobite is extremely well preserved and nicely articulated. The fine detail of the trilobite is beautifully displayed. The crescent-shaped eyes are easily seen, and the sweeping genal spines are clearly defined. The pleural spines are intact, and even a long portion of the tail spine is quite evident. The trilobite has exquisite color and contrast and is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular plate.
