Here is a wonderful specimen of Bolaspidella housensis from the Cambrian of Utah. This perfectly prone trilobite is complete and exhibits beautiful detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The short, sweeping genal spines are quite evident and the small eyes are easily seen. Even the short occipital spine is intact - which is somewhat unusual. The ebony-colored trilobite contrasts nicely with the gray matrix. The trilobite is wll presented on the natural plate of shale. This is an excellent example of Bolaspidella housensis from the Wheeler Formation.
