This is a classic spiny trilobite. It is an outstretched Psychopyge elegans from Morocco. This type is one of the more sought-after trilobite species from Morocco because of its spines and long snout. This specimen is very well articulated and lays aesthetically on the matrix. Most of the free-standing vertical spines have been restored, as was the end of the long snout. Still, this specimen is complete and displays beautifully. This is not the best quality example of this type we have ever had, but its low price more than makes up for it. This is a very good specimen of a Psychopyge elegans with free-standing spines.
