Here is a very fine example of Lloydolithus lloydi from the Lower Ordovician of England. This trilobite was just split out of the rock, and both part and counterpart of the trilobite are present. This particular Lloydolithus is much better in person than what the picture shows. The trilobite is very nicely articulated and displays incredible detail. The many individual pits of the brim are easily seen. The large, bulbous glabella is intact and the individual thoracic segments are easily seen. The wide, triangular pygidium is beautifully preserved. There are many other trilobite parts preserved on both halves of the matrix plates. This is an excellent specimen of Lloydolithus lloydi from England.
