Here is a classic European trilobite. This is a large specimen of Paradoxides gracilis from the Cambrian of the Czech Republic. This type of trilobite has a huge glabella, thoracic segments that terminate in short pleural spines, and a tiny pygidium. These features are nicely defined on this specimen. The trilobite is well positioned on the natural plate of dense shale. This is a very good example of this "Old World" trilobite.
