Here is a very displayable trilobite specimen from the Devonian of Morocco. There are two excellent examples of Asteropyge sp. on this block of limestone. This is a NATURAL DOUBLE - no compositing has been done to this extraordinary piece. Both trilobites are slightly arched and wonderfully articulated. They are extremely 3-dimensional and exhibit exquisite detail. The individual lenses of the eyes are easily seen and the long genal spines are beautifully displayed. The pleural spines are intact and the sharply pointed pygidial spines are clearly defined. The dark brown trilobites contrast nicely with the light brown matrix. They are well positioned on the large, sculpted piece of limestone that has been sawed flat on the bottom. This is a very dramatic double specimen of Asteropyge sp. from Morocco.
