As everyone knows, complete Mississippian trilobites are very rare and highly collectable. This is a fine example of Hesslerides bufo from the Mississippian of Indiana. This trilobite was collected almost twenty years ago in the famous Crawfordsville crinoid beds. This specimen is complete and very 3-dimensionally preserved. Both free cheeks are present and the short genal spines are beautifully displayed. The chocolate-brown bug contrasts wonderfully with the gray matrix. It is well positioned on the natural block of limey siltstone. This is a very displayable Carboniferous trilobite from Indiana.
