Here is a fine example of Greenops barberi from the Devonian of New York. This 3-dimensional trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits very good detail. The pygidial lappets are beautifully displayed and the tips of the broad genal spines are free-standing. The "classic crawling pose" of the trilobite makes for an interesting presentation. The black bug contrasts nicely with the gray matrix. It is well positioned next to a horn coral on the semi-rectangular plate of matrix. This is a delightful specimen of Greenops from the Penn-Dixie Quarry.
