Here is an extremely aesthetic specimen of Reedops deckeri from the Devonian of Oklahoma. This prone trilobite is nicely inflated and exhibits excellent detail. The very fine pustules covering the thick-shelled exoskeleton are intact and the individual lenses of the large compound eyes are near perfect. The caramel-colored bug contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is beautifully positioned on the large block of limestone that has been sawed flat on the bottom. This is an outstanding display specimen of this Phacopid trilobite.
