Here is a very unique plate of trilobites from the Cambrian of Utah. The trilobite in the center of the slab is Elrathia kingi. It is totally complete and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. A complete Perenopsis interstrictus, an Agnostid trilobite, is positioned near the cephalon of the Elrathia. This trilobite also exhibits fine detail. A large, partial specimen of Elrathia kingi and an extremely small, complete, meraspid-stage trilobite are also on the plate. All of the trilobites are natural to the plate - none have been added or composited. The shiny, black trilobites contrast nicely with the gray matrix. This is a very interesting plate of trilobites from the Wheeler Formation.
