This is an extremely displayable Russian trilobite. It is a spectacular Hoplolichas furcifer from St. Petersburg, Russia. This is one of the rarer and more sought-after types of trilobites from Russia, and it is a beauty! The bug is fully complete, wonderfully articulated, and perfectly outstretched. The Hoplolichas has been prepared with the horns and body spines free-standing. The thick shell exoskeleton is covered with large pustules and tiny spines. The compound eye facets are excellent and can even be seen with the naked eye! The trilobite seems to be swimming across the sculpted matrix plate. This specimen is simply as good as it gets. It is easily one of the most beautiful examples of this type we have seen.
