This is a very rare association of two uncommon trilobites. It is a Comura cometa and Parahomolonotus planus double from Morocco. This specimen was meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Preparation Lab. First, let us say that we guarantee this to be a natural double, not composited. Now, back to the trilobites. The Comura is complete and has been expertly prepared/extracted from the matrix. The long genal spines are fully free-standing, and the detail of the thick shell exoskeleton is very nice. The Parahomolonotus is complete with both free cheeks intact. Although the trilobite is slightly curled, it is beautifully articulated, which is unusual for this type. Both bugs are aesthetically positioned on the sculpted matrix block. This is a fabulous natural double of two hard-to-find trilobites.
