Here is a very interesting multiple plate of trilobites. These are Hunanolenus genalatus from the Cambrian of China. There are many trilobites on the slab - four of the trilobites are positives and essentially complete and several negatives (counterparts) are also present. It is very unusual to find this many specimens of Hunanolenus on one plate. The trilobites are nicely articulated and exhibit fine detail. Miraculously, all of the specimens appear to have the free cheeks in place. The long, sweeping genal spines are beautifully displayed and the short, pointed pleural spines are clearly defined. One of the trilobites even has the "tail spine" preserved. The fossils have good color and are nicely positioned on the somewhat rectangular plate. This is a great multiple plate of Hunanolenus from China.
