Here is an extremely rare trilobite! This is a complete Leiostegium sp. from the Ordovician of Colorado. This trilobite is quite prone and well articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The genal spines are easily seen and the individual thoracic segments are quite evident. The bug has very unusual, dolomitic preservation. The dark pink trilobite contrasts nicely with the light pink matrix. It is presented on a natural plate of dolomite. This is a very good specimen of this very scarce trilobite from Colorado.
