Here is a very nice specimen of Hunonolenus genalatus from the Cambrian of China. It is unusual to find this trilobite with the free cheeks intact - most of the time they are missing. This wonderfully articulated specimen has both free cheeks present and exhibits fine detail. The crescent-shaped eyes are easily seen and the long, sweeping genal spines are beautifully displayed. The sharply-pointed pleural spines are quite evident and the small pygidium is clearly defined - even the "tail spine" is unusually preserved. The trilobite is well positioned on the somewhat square plate of matrix. This is a very detailed example of Hunanolenus from the Cambrian.
