Here is a fine specimen of Paralejurus dormitzeri (Type B) from the Devonian of Morocco. This type of Paralejurus differs from the more common type by having short genal spines. This trilobite is very inflated and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The fine detail of the trilobite is easily seen. The genal spines are quite evident and the pointed pleurons are clearly defined. The dark brownish-black trilobite contrasts beautifully with the gray matrix. It is almost perfectly centered on the semi-rectangular plate of limestone. This is a striking example of this unusual type of Paralejurus.
