Here is a very nice trilobite. This is Flexicalymene retrorsa from the Ordovician of Ohio. This trilobite is wonderfully prone and very 3-dimensionally preserved. It is extremely well articulated and exhibits fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. Every pleuron tip is intact. It is beautifully positioned near the center of the large plate of shale. The dark brown trilobite contrasts nicely with the gray matrix. This is a very displayable Flexicalymene from Ohio.
