This is a beautiful Chinese trilobite. It is an excellent Yuepingia sp. from the Lower Ordovician. This type has a wide cephalon with short, broad genal spines and a wide pygidial border. This striking trilobite is somewhat inflated and shows fine detail. The genal spines are nicely displayed and the individual thoracic segments are well defined. The off-white trilobite contrasts beautifully with the black matrix. This is a very collectible example of Yuepingia.
