Here is a very fine specimen of an extremely large Deanaspis goldfussi from the Ordovician. According to some, trilobites from the Czech Republic are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. This specimen is nicely articulated and exhibits fine detail. This type of Trinucleid trilobite has a wide cephalic brim that is very punctate. The wide, triangular pygidium is complete and tightly attached to the thorax. The trilobite has a beautiful yellow color and contrasts wonderfully with the grayish-brown matrix. This is a great specimen of a difficult-to-obtain species from the Czech Republic.
