Here is a very aesthetic Lower Cambrian trilobite. This is Olenellus sp. from British Columbia. Both halves (part and counterpart) of this ancient arthropod are present. This trilobite is wonderfully preserved and exhibits fine detail. The crescent-shaped eyes are nicely displayed and the tiny glabellar furrows are easily seen. Even the "tail spine" is evident. The fossil has great color and contrast. It is almost perfectly centered on the squared matrix plate. This is a very "clean" example of Olenellus sp. from the Eager Formation.
