This is a large outstretched specimen of Isotelus mafritzi from the Ordovician of Canada. The trilobite is complete and well articulated. The protruding eyes are easily seen. The dark brown color of the thick exoskeleton contrasts wonderfully with the gray matrix. It is nicely positioned on the semi-rectangular block of limestone. This is a very fine example of a large Isotelus mafritzi from Canada.
