Here is a fine specimen of Diacalymene ouzregui from the Ordovician of Morocco. This trilobite is nicely preserved in a concretion. Both halves of the concretion are present, so both part and counterpart of the trilobite are well displayed. The two halves of the concretion fit together perfectly to form a rounded "ball of rock". This 3-dimensional trilobite is very prone and wonderfully articulated - much better than most of the specimens from this site. The extreme right side of the trilobite is not missing - it is still covered by a thin sliver of matrix. The trilobite has great color and contrasts nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. This is a very good example of Diacalymene from Morocco.
