This is a beautiful trilobite. It is a rare type of Viaphacops from Oklahoma. This is not your everyday Paciphacops or Kainops, or even Reedops - this is a tried and true Viaphacops. This specimen was prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Preparation Lab, and the results are amazing. This trilobite is large - a full 1.7 inches long. It is beautifully outstretched and very well articulated. The detail of the thick shell exoskeleton is excellent, and the natural caramel color is breathtaking. The bug was sculpted from a huge block of marlstone matrix - what a display piece! This is simply one of the best Viaphacops trilobites ever found.
