Here is an excellent example of Kainops raymondi from the Devonian of Oklahoma. This large-eyed Phacopid trilobite is not particularly rare - but usually they are enrolled or arched. This outstretched specimen is almost perfectly prone and wonderfully articulated. The bug is very 3-dimensional and exhibits superb detail. The multi-faceted eyes are exquisite - the individual lenses are very easily seen. The pustulose glabella is quite evident. The trilobite has great color and contrast. It is nicely presented on the sculpted plate of limestone. This is a spectacular Kainops from the Haragan Formation.
