This is an excellent Metacanthina barrandei trilobite. It is a huge example from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This specimen is a full three inches long and has great detail. The large compound faceted eyes are intact and beautifully preserved. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the sculpted matrix block. This is one of the bigger, better ones of this type we've had.
