This is a fabulous spiny trilobite. It is a Long-Horned Kettneraspis from Morocco. This specimen is about as good as they get. The bug is huge - two inches wide at the spine tips! The bug has great natural color and fabulous detail. The long pleural spines are intact, as are the fine fringes on the free cheeks. The stalked eyes and long occipital "horn" were all prepared free-standing. And the way the bug lays on the matrix is simply beautiful. This specimen can easily be called a "Museum Quality" example, and one that would definitely enhance any fossil collection.
