This is a very nice Proetid trilobite. It is a Cornuproetus cornutus from Morocco. This specimen is beautifully articulated and nicely outstretched. The long genal spines are intact and well preserved. The black bug contrasts well with the grey-tan matrix. The trilobite is almost perfectly centered on the round block of sculpted matrix. This is a very fine Cornuproetus trilobite from Northern Africa.
