This is probably THE classic US trilobite. It is an Elrathia kingi from Utah. This is probably the most prolific, and most famous, trilobite in the world. This specimen is a beautiful single trilobite centered on a natural plate of shale. The large bug is complete with both free cheeks intact and tight. The black trilobite is well-centered on the block, and contrasts well with the lighter grey matrix. This is a very displayable example of an individual Elrathia with cheeks centered on matrix.
