Here is a very interesting trilobite specimen. This is an unusual Odontochile sp. from the Devonian of Morocco. Odontochile hausmani has a very smooth exoskeleton. This species has many pustules randomly scattered on the surface of the thick exoskeleton. The trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. The bug exhibits very fine detail. The granulated "shell" of the trilobite is easily seen and the individual lenses of the eyes are well defined. The genal spines and caudal spine of the arched trilobite have been beautifully prepared in a free-standing manner. The long genal spines are exquisitely displayed. There are also two enrolled examples of Phacops speculator on the block. The 3-dimensional trilobites have good color and are nicely presented on the large chunk of matrix. This is a very aesthetic specimen of an uncommon species of Odontochile from Morocco.
