This is an excellent multiple trilobite specimen. This plate has two complete specimens of Asaphiscus wheeleri from the Cambrian of Utah. Multiple examples of Asaphiscus are very uncommon. Both trilobites are very nicely preserved and wonderfully articulated. All of the free cheeks are present and tightly attached. These ancient arthropods exhibit fine detail. The individual segments are easily seen. The broad, flat brims of the pygidia are nicely displayed. The bugs have thick, black exoskeleton and contrast nicely with the gray matrix. They are well centered on the large natural plate of shale. There is also a cranidium of Elrathia kingi on the plate. This is a very displayable, multiple specimen of Asaphiscus from Utah.
