Here is a very good specimen of Flexicalymene granulosa from the Ordovician of Canada. This trilobite is very 3-dimensional and almost perfectly prone. The bug has extremely thick exoskeleton and exhibits fine detail. The individual thoracic segments are easily seen. The glabella of the trilobite is covered with a multitude of fine pustules. The dark brown trilobite contrasts nicely with the gray matrix. It is well presented on the natural plate of limestone. This is a good example of an outstretched Flexicalymene granulosa.
