This is a nice example of an uncommon trilobite. This is Acastella tiro from the Early Devonian of the Ukraine. This specimen is very well preserved with excellent detail intact. The bug is well articulated and is mostly outstretched and prone. The black shell "skin" of the exoskeleton contrasts beautifully with the light grey matrix. The fossil is wonderfully showcased on the semi-squared plate of shale. This is a very cool example of Acastella tiro from war-torn Ukraine.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
