Name:
Modocia brevispina Age: Middle Cambrian Formation: Marjum Formation Location: Millard County, Utah Size: Trilobite is over 0.4 inches long Price:$49.00
This is an excellent juvenile example of a very unusual trilobite. It is a fine Modocia brevispina from the House Range of Utah. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in 1996 and just recently prepared. This bug differs from the more common Elrathia in that the head is not as wide and the pleurons are more pointed. The bug has both free cheeks intact, which is quite unusual. The detail is very nice, and the overall articulation is excellent. The trilobite is well showcased on a large, squared matrix plate. This is very nice baby Modocia that displays very well. (The detail is much better than the photo shows.)
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
