Name:
Cryptolithus bellulus Age: Upper Ordovician Formation: Martinsburg Formation Location: Swatara Gap, Lebanon Co., PA Size: Trilobite is 0.6 inches long Price:SOLD
This is a classic Trinucleid trilobite. It is a colorful Cryptolithus bellulus from the classic site at Swatara Gap, Pennsylvania. This specimen was collected by Steve Hess in 1988. This type of trilobite is known for the unusual pitted fringe that encircles the front of the trilobite - this specimen has this feature wonderfully displayed. The rest of the trilobite is very well articulated and very inflated. The bug's natural coloration is quite striking. This is a very displayable example of this beautifully-fringed trilobite from this closed US locality.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
