Here is an extremely rare trilobite. This is Marjumia callas from the Cambrian of Utah. This specimen was found by Steve Hess years ago and was just now prepared. This trilobite is nicely articulated, but both free cheeks are missing. The bug is outstretched and exhibits extremely nice detail - the pointed tips of the pleurons are clearly defined. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the squared plate of shale. This is the largest example of this highly uncommon Marjumia callas we have ever had (almost two inches long!).
