This is an extremely rare double Chotecops sp. from the slate quarries of Bundenbach, Germany. The site where these bugs have been found for decades is now closed, and the only way to obtain these classic specimens is through the dispersal of old collections. This is one of those specimens from an old collection. This trilobites are outstretched and nicely detailed. The bugs are wonderfully articulated and clearly defined. The trilobites are well showcased on the very large, unbroken plate of roofing slate. This is a very collectible double example of Chotecops from this world-famous site.
