Name:
Raphiophorus parvulus Age: Lower Ordovician Formation: Ludlow Series Location: Bishop's Castle, Shropshire, England Size: Trilobite is 0.65" including spine Price:HOLD
This is one of the rarest Trinucleid trilobites that we have had. It is a wonderful Raphiophorus parvulus from England. This trilobite is inflated and very nicely articulated. The specimen exhibits incredible detail. The head, body, and tail are all well showcased. The long, swooping genal spines extend far beyond the pygidium - note the angle they extend off the cephalon - quite unusual. And if that's not enough, the long Ampyx-like cephalic spine is easily seen on the counterpart (not pictured, but present). This is one of the coolest trilobites we have from England.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
