This is a beautiful example of a rare trilobite. It is a complete Ectillaenus perovalis from Shropshire, England. This specimen is wonderfully articulated and almost perfectly prone - not enrolled like most examples. The outstretched bug has both free cheeks intact, which is highly unusual. The natural color and fine detail are easily seen. And the trilobite is undistorted, whish is extremely rare for this locality. This is an extremely collectible example of one of the more unusual trilobites from Great Britain.
